Why write a story about Sex Trafficking?

This topic is so dark that many people simply ignore it, and thereby allow it to continue even in their own communities. My goal is to address it in an engaging story in ways that will educate, but not traumatize the reader. The story illustrates some of the psychological manipulation the slavers use to shackle the minds and hearts of their victims, and the victims’ road to triumph.
